Team City Lifting Secure Stunning Second

25 points ahead, sounds a lot doesn’t it? But with a possible 50 championship points left to play for, Jake had to be at his best to hold off the challenge of Dani Saez. It would of been easy to go out there and attack, but Jake showed maturity beyond his years with a measured performance that ensured he took second place in the Championship and bagged another two podiums in the process.

Climbing podiums has become a welcome habit this year for Jake and this weekend was no different. A third place in the first outing and a second in the deciding race proved to be enough for the Andover racer and he finished well in front of Saez with a comfortable 45 point gap separating the pair.

A great 2016

It’s been a fabulous season with many high points. We started the season by securing the best sponsor in the Paddock, City Lifting and it’s only with their help that we have been able to be so competitive. A big thank you also goes out to Melvyn Rogers from City Lifting who’s been so supportive and also helped attract other sponsors to the team.

We also have to say a big thank you to our other sponsors who have helped massively with their contributions. In no particular order….. Ashby & Croft, Goods Lift Company, Apex Steel Structures, B Team, Johny Wills, Daikin, NDS Mechanical Services, Extreme Industrial roofing and Jakes personal trainer Stephen Sharp.

We also have to say a big thank you to everyone who’s helped us this season. Tracy, Neil Hallsworth, Ryan Saxelby, Kez, Mel, Trevor, Alistair and Lank for there help. Not forgetting Team McManus for all the great times we had all season and anyone else who we might have forgot to mention.
