Pre-season Podium for Eugene at Brands.

Eugene continued his pre-season preparations with a visit to Brands Hatch this weekend. The team were invited to take part in the ACU 250GP National Championship organised by the North Glos Road Racing Club.

After a difficult days private testing on friday, Eugene produced some fine form qualifying in 4th place with a lap time of 51.570 behind City Lifting's duo of Tom Booth-Amos and Jake Archer.

Motostar rival Elliott Lodge took pole position after a final lap of 50.72 squeezed Eugene off the front row. This race was scheduled to start at 14.50pm.

E15 racing accepted a late call to run in the EDP Open 500 race giving Eugene more track time before the 250GP race later in the afternoon. Starting at the back of the grid Eugene cut through the pack to reach 6th position by lap 2 with City Lifting's Booth-Amos now leading.

Eugene produced some consistently quick lap times to hit third position and tuck in behind Ed Best in 2nd place. Eugene moved into 2nd on lap 10 and followed Booth-Amos home with a quickest time of 50.856, Jake Archer finished third less than a second behind.

A confident Eugene lined up for the 250GP race in 4th position, getting away with the leading pack he settled in to 2nd position behind Jake Archer. Unfortunately mechanical failure left Eugene no alternative but to retire from the race in lap 7. A disappointing end to this race but overall the team were delighted with the Wee Bull's progress.

Eugene and the team now move onto Donington for the Offical BSB test day on weds 22nd March 2017
