Eugene began his 2017 assault on the Hel Performance Motostar British Championship with some impressive lap times in both FP1 and FP2 today at Donington.
In FP1 the wee bull continued his pre-season form to finish in 5th position with a quickest lap of 1:43.380 joining fellow RS Racing ktm riders Jake Archer and Tom Booth Amos in the top 5.
In Free Practice 2 Eugene improved on his morning's efforts to finish again in 5th after 12 consistently good laps, recording a best lap of 1:41.591 just 1.7 seconds off top spot and nearly 2 seconds faster than the time set in FP1
Eugene snr added;
"Absolutely happy with todays effort, he was steady and improving all the time... These were the driest conditions he ( Eugene jnr ) has had this season so it's all about building confidence"
