Eugene keeping pace with the pack

Eugene McManus Jnr justified his claim to be a front runner of the Hel Performance Motostar British Championship after another solid performance in qualifying this afternoon.

On any other day a sub 50 second lap of the Brands Indy circuit would warrant a front row start, Eugene was unlucky to find 6 of his adversaries also in fine form with the top 7 riders hitting the 49's in a thrilling Motostar session.

Leading the Championship into round 2, Eugene has his feet firmly on the ground and knows consistent lap times like today's will keep him in touch with the leading pack.

Although setting a PB of 49.315 his team were quick to play down Eugene's fine form adding;

"We aren't getting carried away, Eugene has made a brilliant start to 2017 but people forget this is only his second season in racing, he is learning all the time and getting used to the bike, Eugene needs to continue picking up points and finishing races. This season is shaping up to be one of the tightest championships ever with the top 10 capable of beating each other, we are pleased Eugene is up there with them and delighted with his progress"

Eugene will start 4th on the grid for Race 1 on Easter Sunday behind the talented trio of Tom Booth Amos, Taz Taylor and Elliott Lodge. Good Luck Wee Bull from everyone at E15 Racing!!
