Knockhill Preview - BSB Round 5

Eugene McManus Junior and Team E15 racing travel to Scotland and Knockhill this coming weekend ( 6-8th July ) for the next round of The Bennett's British Superbike Championship. The Wee Bull is looking to return to winning ways after his recent impressive displays on the Kalex Moto2 bike and will compete in the Hel Performance British Motostar Championship, this time out on the RS Racing Moto3 sponsored by MV Commercials.

Knockhill is the home round for Eugene's principal sponsor and many of MV Commercial's staff are hoping to be present to see their protege perform and enjoy another exciting weekend's BSB action. Formed in 2001 by CEO Tom O’Rourke, MV Commercial quickly expanded it's vehicle import company with further acquisitions to become one of the leading brands in the Commercial transport industry. They now operate a complete end to end nationwide hire and sales service with main depots in London, Luton, Haydock and Livingston, as well as several fabrication and engineering sites across the UK. Eugene and the team are delighted to welcome MV Commercial to Knockhill this weekend!!

Eugene Junior

"I’m really itching for knockhill and cannot wait to get back out on the moto3. I love this track as it’s got a great atmosphere and the scottish fans are superb, it's the home of MV commercial who are a huge and loyal sponsor to me and racing would not be possible without them. I hope I can repay their invaluable support with a podium"

In 2017 at Knockhill, McManus Junior was in good form for race 1starting in P2, but an unfortunate tumble on lap 2 left him with a DNF as Jake Archer strolled to victory. The Wee Bull picked himself up for race 2 and came back with a bang, collecting a brilliant third place, his 4th podium in 5 outings. This is a track Junior loves riding at and he will undoubtedly be one to watch out for around the short 1.26 mile circuit. Knockhill is Scotland's national Motorsport centre. The circuit is located about 10 miles north of Dunfermline and always provides some of the season's most exciting and close racing.

On Friday 6th, The Wee Bull will head out on track for FP1 at 10.20 – 10.50 with FP2 at 15.05 – 15.35. Saturday sees an early qualifying start of 09.45 – 10.15, Race 1 follows at 15.25. Sunday's warm up session is at 10.00 with Race 2 closing out the Motostar weekend at 14.50.
