Top ten for Eugene at Oulton Park

After the disappointment of a DNF in the Sprint Race on Saturday Eugene McManus finished tenth on Sunday in the Feature race.

Eugene had recorded a sufficiently good time in free practice on Friday to go straight into Q2. The Completely Motorbikes / Affinity Sports Academy rider’s best lap time placed him 10th on the grid for the Sprint race.

Eugene McManus started the British Supersport Sprint Race in 10th position and made a solid getaway from the grid. Unfortunately for the number 15 rider from Randalstown, contact with another rider at turn 16, Lodge Corner, ended his race on just the first lap.

Having not set a lap time for the first race Eugene found he had slipped to 16th on the grid for the Feature Race.

He made a flying start to the second race of the weekend. The Completely Motorbikes / Affinity Sports Academy rider launched off the line. He was up four places in the first lap.

By lap eight Eugene had his Triumph in 11th spot. He went on to cross the finish line in tenth at the flag.
