Next weekend sees both Eugene McManus Junior and younger brother James back in a competitive race for the first time in 2020. Both are riding in the support categories of the British Superbike Championship.
The two youngsters are part of the @Massingberd-Mundy Kawasaki / @affinitysportsacademy team and ambassadors for @colchesterkawasaki.
Eugene is competing in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 championship sporting his familiar number 15. He is feeling strong after an accident at Brands Hatch early in 2019 ended his seasons exploits prematurely.
James McManus is racing in the Hel Performance British Junior Supersport Championship. Round one of the delayed season starts at Donington Park on the National circuit. James scored his first championship points at the venue last October, albeit on the full GP circuit.
Eugene McManus Junior said,” It’s great to be back on a bike so I’m going to have some fun and hopefully I haven’t forgot how to race. It will be a big weekend for all around me again. A big thank you to all that helped me from the BSB Medical Team ... all the Staff at Kings College London, my Team Boss John Laverty and my family”
James McManus said,” Here we go! Great to get racing and what an opportunity to have! Hopefully I can continue to learn and start looking to that top six.”
