Brands Hatch GP Preview - BSB Round 6

Eugene McManus Junior returns to action this coming weekend at Brands Hatch ( Round 6 of The Bennett's British Superbike Championship ) for Round 4 of the Hel Performance Motostar British Championship. The last fortnight has been a particularly tough and tragic time for British Road Racing, with the loss of several young, talented men who sadly lost their lives taking part in this sport we all love. Our sincere condolences go out to all the families and friends of those affected.

The Wee Bull will be back on board the RS Racing KTM in the Moto3 series, where he currently sits in seventh position after the first three rounds. The Brands GP circuit is a favourite on the BSB calendar for many and Young McManus Junior has picked up podiums and solid points in several visits to the Kent circuit over the last couple of season's.

In the corresponding 2017 round he secured a fourth place finish in race 1 followed by a brilliant and much deserved third place podium in race 2, finishing behind the Team City Lifting duo of Jake Archer and last season's champion Tom Booth Amos. The fast and flowing 2.43 mile GP circuit will offer up some of the season's most challenging and exciting action for the Motostar riders and McManus Junior will be amongst the favourites for more silverware this time out.

The weekend's timetable starts on Friday with Free Practice 1 at 11.10 – 11.40am, followed by FP2 in the afternoon at 16.10 – 16.40pm. Saturday kicks off with Motostar Qualifying at 09.00 – 09.30am and Race 1 at 15.20pm. Sunday's action concludes with the 14 lap feature race due to start at 14.55pm.

Eugene Junior will be sporting a tribute on his race helmet to his friend William Dunlop at this weekends event and team E15 would like to mention a just giving page set up to help his family;
